FERI (Fiche Electronique de Renseignement à l’importation) Certificate
The FERI (Fiche Electronique de Renseignement à l’importation) Certificate is an essential requirement for all cargo entering the Democratic Republic of Congo (‘DRC’). It is designed to streamline customs processes and ensure compliance with the DRC’s import regulations.
The FERI Certificate plays a crucial role in identifying, controlling, tracking, and forecasting the traffic of imported goods, allowing authorities to ensure the accuracy of cargo information for all stages.
It is a mandatory document and should be applied for before the arrival of goods at their final destination.
Each Bill of Lading, Road Waybill, or Air Waybill must have a corresponding FERI certificate with a valid Validation Number. Failure to obtain a valid FERI certificate leads to severe consequences and a hefty fines for offenders.
